Registered Nurse​/Graduate Nurse - Acute Oncology Unit

Overview

Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse - Acute Oncology Unit at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. Full-time, night shift. 36 hours per week with weekend rotation and holiday commitment. 5 South is a 36-bed unit providing oncology, hospice, hematology, palliative, and related care, including chemotherapy administration and radiation/nuclear treatments.

• Manage patient care during a designated timeframe, including coordination, evaluation of care, teaching, and delegation to the health care team.
• Act as a leadership resource to provide professional nursing care within the hospital setting.
• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate the continuum of care in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Participate in Shared Governance and uphold the organization s commitment to customer service.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Current nursing licensure in the State of Michigan.
• ACLS:
  Required for RN Care Managers in specified units (ER, ICU, CCU, PACU, Cardiac Med/Surg, L&D, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, Special Procedures, Radiology, Ambulatory Surgery Center).
• BCLS:
  Required for in-patient bedside care including Operating Room and Day Hospital staff.
• ENCP:
  Required for RN Care Managers in the Emergency Room.
• PALS:
  Required for RN Care Managers in Ambulatory Surgery Center and PACU.
• NRC:
  Required for RN Care Managers in NICU and Labor & Delivery.
• C Special Skill / Aptitudes:
  Excellent customer service, ability to work with diverse hospital personnel and community groups.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum two years as an RN in a medical/surgical unit (Med/Surg Pool) or ICU/CCU (Critical Care Pool).
