Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate product development and qualification activities, ensuring successful delivery of program milestones.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams to develop, qualify, and produce high-performance aerospace components and systems.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and close engineering projects, managing technical scope, cost, and schedule performance.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including test directives, test reports, and qualification plans.
- Oversee engine and component testing, including assembly, disassembly, performance evaluation, and root cause investigations of test anomalies.
- Support design for manufacturability and quality initiatives, ensuring products meet all performance and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate project status, risks, and technical details effectively to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in engineering processes, data management, and testing methodologies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or related discipline required).
- 4+ years of experience in project engineering within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Strong understanding of engineering design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple sub-projects and deliver results on time and within scope.
- Experience using NX, Teamcenter, or other CAD/PDM tools.
- Python programming skills for data analysis or automation preferred.
- Knowledge of gas turbine engine systems, electro-mechanical components, and associated manufacturing techniques is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills-able to summarize complex engineering issues for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Physical capability to occasionally lift and handle test components (up to 50 lbs).
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if required.
