Required Skills:

Medical degree (MD or DO) with active license in Michigan
Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
Proven experience in outpatient hematology and oncology care
Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
Ability to manage 15-20 outpatient patients daily
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to participate actively in tumor board meetings

Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience with infusion centers
Familiarity with tumor board participation
Experience working within multidisciplinary support teams including nurses, social workers, and dietitians
Knowledge of state and federal guidelines related to oncology care

Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Minimum of 2 years of post-residency experience in hematology/oncology outpatient settings
Previous locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous but not required

Other Requirements:

Coverage for outpatient clinic and clinic call from January 19, 2026, through July 31, 2026
On-site support includes infusion services, CBC testing, and multidisciplinary team assistance
On-call duties as needed; approximately 15-20 patients per day
Onsite support staff includes oncology RNs, medical assistants, social workers, dietitians, and nurse navigators
Must have or obtain Michigan medical license and all relevant certifications
Mileage, car rental (refueled), and hotel accommodations reimbursed up to a $150 cap (including taxes)
Orientation hours compensated at half of the hourly rate
No third-party lodging bookings or taxes reimbursed
