Night Shift
£19.50 - £24.00 PER HOUR Paye & Ltd
Key tasks:
 
* Depot to Depot
 
* Trunking
Shift times:
 
* Shift starts between 19.00 - 22.00 for night shift
 
* Weekend work available every week 4 on 4 off rota.
 
* These are long trunk runs average of 12 hours a night so you can complete 48 hours in 4 nights.
 
* Drivers will need to complete an assessment and induction before starting which is not paid but will give you ongoing work.
Duties:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's licence (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for at least 2 years, we can not accept DD, DR, IN or no more than 6 points for insurance reasons.
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role for at least 2 years
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Must complete an unpaid induction before starting with the company.
