Position: 244489 - Peripatetic Support Assistant

We’re looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join our Peripatetic Service at Delacy Gardens, Pontefract. This vital service operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes.

About the Role

The post is for 21.00 hours per week.

You’ll work on a 2-week rolling rota, including:

  • Evening shifts: 15:00 - 22:00
  • Salary 25,583–25,989 (FTE) and £28,598–£31,537 (FTE) £13.26 to £13.47 per hour.
  • Weekends and bank holidays (enhanced pay rates apply)
Your Role Will Include
  • Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes
  • Promoting independence and person‑centred care (washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, meals & medication)
  • Working collaboratively with professionals and agencies
  • Treating every person with dignity and respect
To Apply You'll Need

Essential:

  • GCSE Grades D–G in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English

Desirable (but not required):

  • Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

If you don’t have the Level 2 qualification, no problem! We’ll provide full training and fund your qualification after successful completion of your probation period.
