  • Supervises: Bartenders, Bar Leads, Beverage Cart Attendants and Seasonal Beverage Staff.
  • Annual Salary: $55,000
  • Annual Incentive Compensation: Up to $18,500

Job Summary: The Beverage Manager is a modern hospitality leadership role responsible for the strategic development, financial performance, and day-to-day excellence of the Club’s beverage operations. This position blends creative program development with disciplined execution, ensuring beverage offerings enhance the overall member experience while meeting financial and operational objectives. The Beverage Manager serves as the Club’s subject‑matter expert for all beverage‑related programming, overseeing bar operations, cellar management, purchasing, inventory controls, service standards, and team training.

The role requires strong collaboration with culinary, service, and events leadership to deliver cohesive, elevated experiences across all dining and lifestyle venues.

Beverage Program Leadership
  • Develop, implement, and continuously evolve the Club’s beverage programs, including wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, non‑alcoholic offerings, and specialty concepts.
  • Curate beverage menus that align with the Club’s brand, culinary direction, seasonality, and member preferences.
  • Lead Club’s Bottle Sales and Wine Locker Programs and meet expected targets.
  • Lead wine and spirits selection, tastings, education, and member‑facing programming.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and creativity across all beverage touchpoints.
Operational Excellence
  • Oversee daily bar and beverage operations across all outlets, ensuring service standards, speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Establish and maintain standardized recipes, pours, presentation, and service procedures.
  • Partner with outlet leaders to ensure beverage execution aligns with service flow and guest expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal alcohol regulations and Club policies.
Financial & Inventory Management
  • Manage beverage budgets, cost of goods, pricing strategies, and profitability targets.
  • Oversee purchasing, receiving, storage, and inventory controls for all beverage products.
  • Conduct regular inventories and variance analysis; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with F&B leadership on forecasting, promotions, and cost‑containment initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and develop high‑performing beverage teams.
  • Lead ongoing education programs focused on product knowledge, service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, and pride in craft.
  • Serve as a visible, hands‑on leader during peak service periods and events.
Member Engagement & Events
  • Collaborate with Events, Membership, and Culinary teams on private events, wine dinners, tastings, and Club programming.
  • Actively engage with members to gather feedback, identify preferences, and enhance the beverage experience.
  • Support large‑scale Club events, seasonal activations, and specialty programming as needed.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Hospitality Manager, Executive Chef, and Beach House Club Manager to ensure alignment of service standards and operational priorities.
  • Support Club‑wide initiatives, training programs, and service culture expectations.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge,

  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive beverage or bar management experience in a private club, resort, hotel, or high‑volume hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing beverage programs, inventories, and teams.
  • Experience working closely with culinary and service leadership.

  • Strong financial acumen with working knowledge of beverage costing and inventory systems.
  • Advanced product knowledge across wine, spirits, beer, and emerging beverage trends.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
