, a revolutionary lender connecting builders with the capital needed to start and complete residential home building projects, is recruiting for a Staff Accountant; Peoplr is excited to be leading this search.
In this role, you will support the financial operations of a mortgage origination and lending organization, with a focus on cash management, loan-related accounting, interest tracking, and line-of-credit activity. The Staff Accountant is responsible for:
- Journal entries, reclassifications and corrections
- Bank and account reconciliations for operating accounts, loan funding accounts, and reserve accounts
- Reconcile line of credit balances, advances, repayments, and interest accruals
- Monitor daily cash activity and balances across multiple accounts; track and reconcile fund disbursements
- Track interest accruals and fees and ensure interest and fee invoices are accurately prepared, issued and collected
- Support the month-end close processes related to cash, interest, payables, and loan activity
- Oversee and assist with accounts payable processing including invoice review, coding and approval.
This is a regular, full-time position. The chosen candidate will work onsite at the company’s location in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

Must Haves
- At least 1 year of accounting experience in lending, mortgage, banking, or financial services
- Experience with bank reconciliations and cash activity
- Understanding of accounting principles, general ledger accounting, and transactional accounting in a lending environment, including fund disbursements, reconciliations, invoicing, and accounts payable
- Excellent, professional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive financial information
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); specifically in Excel, experience with formulas and reconciliations is required
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience with warehouse lines, loan accounting, or interest tracking
- Familiarity with accounting or loan systems used in mortgage or lending environment
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
