Dispatcher - Ponca City/Blackwell
Full-Time
The Dispatcher will play a key role in the safety and efficient operations of our transportation department. They will provide customer service while taking inbound phone calls in a high-performance, customer-focused call center environment. The Dispatcher will coordinate the operational and logistical functions of the transportation division, resolving issues to align employees with our company values and goals. They should be skilled in all aspects of petroleum transportation and delivery.
This position may be based in Ponca City, Blackwell, Tulsa, or OKC, with a preference for Ponca City/Blackwell. Will work a rotating schedule including weekends.
Responsibilities:- Manage workforce to meet daily production goals, determine equipment and manpower needs.
- Prevent service failures through effective dispatching.
- Supervise shipment scheduling.
- Contact customers daily to assess fuel needs, market trends, and availability.
- Maintain a high-performance culture and professional communication.
- Build and maintain customer relationships through excellent service.
- Work approximately 50-55 hours per week, including weekend rotation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in delivery/trucking industry required.
- Dispatching/customer service experience beneficial.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Ability to evaluate options considering cost, customer expectations, driver needs, etc.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well under stress.
- Pass background check and drug test.
Arm and hand steadiness, finger dexterity, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, sufficient vision, speech, and hearing.
