Job SummaryJoin Equity Bank as a Customer Service Manager in Ponca City, OK. Lead a small retail bank team, drive sales, ensure compliance, and deliver exceptional customer service in a community-focused environment.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Lead and manage performance of retail bank non-exempt employees.
- Partner with Branch Manager to conduct sales management routines (daily coaching, weekly meetings, monthly check-ins, quarterly results coaching).
- Provide onsite leadership and motivation; direct daily work of 2-4 retail bank employees.
- Make decisions on hiring, compensation, work schedule, promotion, discipline.
- Implement operating procedures and protocols.
- Train and develop team members for current and future roles.
- Assist with growth of retail bank net income (recommend accounts, loans, services).
- Assist Bank Manager to achieve bank growth targets for deposits, loans, and non-interest income.
- Control bank expenses appropriately.
Demonstrate operational soundness to minimize risk and maintain quality. - Proactively make referrals to bank partners for additional revenue.
- Ensure consistent delivery of superior customer experience.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills; resolve client issues and follow-through.
- Perform teller duties as needed; approve transactions within authority limits.
- Demonstrate compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, business ethics, etc.).
- Follow deposit account opening procedures and suspicious activity referral requirements.
- Complete periodic compliance training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous banking experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Windows-based systems.
- Maintain high confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capable of working with a team to determine solutions.
- Travel to Wichita, KS during first week of employment for required week-long training.
