Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Safety Coordinator role in Ponca City, OK. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety orientations for new employees.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries; prepare reports and support corrective action follow-through.
  • Maintain safety documentation, including logs, permits, training records, and compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the proper use of PPE and monitor adherence to safety protocols throughout the facility.
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and readiness activities.
  • Assist with developing and revising safety policies, procedures, and job hazard analyses.
  • Promptly report any safety concerns, violations, or equipment hazards to leadership.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR) preferred.
  • Prior experience in safety, manufacturing, or industrial environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and training skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve safety concerns proactively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including occasional nights or weekends, as required.
