Operations Manager
EBIZ Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior Operations Manager on behalf of our client, a specialty manufacturing and installation company focused on the design, fabrication, and installation of custom‑engineered kitchen ventilation systems. As the only company of its kind based in the region, our client delivers high-quality, code‑compliant systems that require strong coordination between fabrication, engineering, and field installation teams.

Role SummaryThe Senior Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations across fabrication, project coordination, installation, procurement, and quality control. This role is highly execution-focused and requires experience in custom manufacturing and installation-driven environments.
The ideal candidate understands how to align shop production with job-site schedules while maintaining quality, safety, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities Operations Execution- Oversee daily production and installation schedules
- Coordinate between fabrication, purchasing, engineering coordination, and field teams
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
- Track operational KPIs and report performance to leadership
- Manage shop workflow, scheduling, and labor allocation
- Improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput
- Maintain quality control standards and inspection processes
- Support inventory management and material planning
- Oversee installation crews and subcontractors
- Ensure safe, compliant, and inspection-ready installations
- Coordinate delivery logistics and site readiness
- Reduce rework and improve job closeout processes
- Support coordination of permitting and inspection processes
- Ensure systems meet applicable mechanical, fire, and safety codes
- Maintain documentation and job tracking standards
- Develop and document SOPs across departments
- Support implementation and optimization of ERP, CRM, and job-costing systems
- Monitor job costing and labor efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce operational expenses
- Support accurate estimating through reliable production data
- 5+ years of operations leadership experience in specialty manufacturing, custom fabrication, HVAC/MEP, or engineered systems
- Experience overseeing both shop operations and field installation teams
- Strong understanding of operating in regulated, inspection-driven environments
- Experience with job costing and production scheduling
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Background in metal fabrication or mechanical systems
- Experience working with code-compliant systems
- ERP or project management software experience
- Lean or process improvement experience
- Hands‑on, problem-solving leader
- Strong communicator across shop and field teams
