Toolmaker Machinist

We are looking for a qualified Toolmaker Machinist to join our team in a growing, precision machine shop certified in AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 13485:2016. This role is essential for creating the EDM fixtures and electrodes needed to maintain our high‑quality production standards. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

  Proven toolmaking and fixture machining experience.

  Skills:
  • Proficiency with manual mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in using shop floor inspection equipment.
• Work Style:
  Ability to work with minimal supervision in a clean, safe, team‑oriented environment.

• Pay: $34.00 per hour (approx. $40,000 – $90,000 per year).
• Hours:
  
  Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (shift: First, 8 AM – 4 PM).
• Breaks:
  Two paid 15‑minute breaks and a 30‑minute unpaid lunch (employees punch out).
• Overtime:
  Available when required.

• Fixture & Electrode Fabrication: Use manual mills, lathes, and grinders to machine fixtures for holding parts during EDM operations.
• Graphite Machining: Machine and dress graphite electrodes for sinker EDM operations.
• Quality Control: Inspect fixtures and electrodes throughout the run to maintain strict quality standards.
• Technical Documentation: Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Material Preparation: Utilize bandsaws to cut materials as required.
• Operational Coordination: Coordinate daily workflow with production management while maintaining good housekeeping practices.

• Manual lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for 8 hours at one time.

• Toolmaker: 5 years of experience required.
• Manual machining: 5 years of experience preferred.
• Blueprint reading.

  High School.
