We are seeking a Fractional Financial Controller to lead our financial operations, driven by company growth and our accounting manager's transition to part-time.
Responsibilities include overseeing all accounting and treasury functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering meaningful financial reporting.
We seek a candidate who will bring experience in both supervision and strategic financial analysis to support informed decision-making and sustain profitable growth.
This flexible position offers an opportunity to join a small, collaborative management team on a less-than-full-time basis. Contribute to key strategies, and manage accounting operations for ongoing expansion and profitability.
Cabinet Parts is an early E-Commerce company formed in 1997. Our industry is Home Improvement, specifically the Cabinet Hardware and Accessory segment. We are well established and recognized in our industry for our quality products, technical innovation, and collaborative business partnerships. Our national distribution channel is both B2C and B2B. We ship products from over 50 locations within the US. These include strategically located distribution warehouses and direct-to-customer programs with participating manufacturers.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee all accounting activities, i.e., closings, general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Supervise a team of two, including an accounting manager and associate, both experienced and stable staff members who perform these functions today.
- Manage treasury functions including cash management activities, collections, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Implement and oversee effective internal controls impacting cost, expenses, and cash/asset protection throughout the organization.
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements and meaningful in-depth reporting to support informed strategic decision‑making at all levels of the organization.
- Oversee conformance to regulatory requirements, including the timely submission of federal and state tax reports.
- Contribute to the budgeting processes, monitor variances, and support financial planning initiatives.
- The skills and desire to perform the Controller's position in a mid-sized company, but also desires a flexible work schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field.
- Strong competency with Quick Books and Excel
- Excellent knowledge of business accrual accounting, cash management practices, payroll processing, account analysis, debits & credits, and double‑entry bookkeeping principles.
- Proven Analytical and supervisory skills in the accounting discipline.
