IMMEDIATE HIRING! Call Receiver FULL-TIME Opportunity
Starting at $17.00 per hour + DOE
We’re hiring Call Takers that will function as a telecommunicator and are responsible for receiving, recording, and effectively managing requests for ambulance assistance/transport from various sources. The Call Taker will offer pre-arrival instructions as indicated.
Responsibilities- Answering non‑emergency calls for service requests via the recorded telephone system.
- Gathering relevant information from the caller, determining their needs and accurately entering the required details into the CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) system.
- Requesting other service agencies for action as required by system needs.
- Making customer callbacks as needed.
- Consistently upholding a courteous attitude and clear, efficient communication with both internal and external customers.
- Adhering to all company and departmental policies, procedures, metrics, objectives, quality improvement measures and safety standards.
- Maintaining professional competency and fostering growth by pursuing additional opportunities within the department.
- Maintaining a positive attitude toward customers, visitors and coworkers to support a professional workplace.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant equipment and applications, attending meetings, completing required training sessions and actively participating in quality improvement initiatives in accordance with all established standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
- Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.
- Ability to efficiently utilize all equipment assigned to them.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Possess good typing skills with speed and accuracy necessary to efficiently process emergency and non‑emergency calls.
- Ability to understand basic computer applications.
