We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly capable Controller to join our Pompano Beach, FL-
based team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy, strengthening
internal controls, and supporting the continued growth and scalability of our platform.
Position SummaryThe Controller will own the company’s accounting function end-to-end, including the monthly
close, financial reporting, internal controls, audit and tax coordination, and accounting for
acquisitions. This role is accountable for the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the

Key Responsibilities- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely journal entries
- Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, including bank accounts, AP, intercompany transactions, and other balance sheet accounts
- Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements, management reporting, and variance analyses
- Oversee payroll-related accounting and incentive/commission calculations in accordance with internal policies
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements for multi-unit service operations
- Support accounting and reporting across multiple legal entities and gym locations
- Ensure consistent accounting treatment and chart of accounts usage across the platform
- Partner with operations to improve financial visibility at the location level
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Compliance, Audit & Process Improvement
- Maintain internal controls and accounting best practices to ensure financial integrity
- Design, implement, and enforce internal controls and scalable accounting policies.
- Own relationship with external auditors and tax advisors
- Lead or contribute to special projects requiring financial analysis or system improvements
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve efficiency across accounting and finance functions
- Build, manage, and develop the accounting team
- Set roles, responsibilities, review standards, and performance expectations
- Hire and scale the team in line with platform growth
- Establish a strong review and quality-control culture
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, CPA strongly preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred
- 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably multi-entity operations and private equity-backed companies.
- Proven experience leading and scaling accounting teams
- Advanced Excel skills, including analysis of large datasets; strong desire to be a power user
- Solid understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP and accounting software migrations. (Sage Intacct, QBO)
- Understanding of systems and how to drive efficiencies.
