The Senior Accountant manages financial records, prepares reports, and ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities include processing transactions, reconciling accounts, assisting with budgets, and supporting audits to maintain the organization’s financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the general ledger for accurate financial reporting
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Conduct cash flow analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information
- Assist with the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Perform technical accounting research to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Assist with tax planning and compliance activities
- Utilize accounting software, such as Business Central or Dynamics, to record and track financial transactions
