We are seeking an experienced Controller to manage all financial operations and ensure accuracy and compliance across accounting processes. This role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision‑making for the organization.

We are also open to considering a strong Assistant Controller or a strong Senior Accountant who is ready to step up into a leadership role.

• Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership to monitor job costs and profitability.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax professionals.
• Handle AIA billing and ensure accuracy in progress billing and lien releases.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting role.
• Subcontractor experience is required; must have a strong understanding of subcontractor billing, compliance, and job cost accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with AIA billing is required.

• CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• Experience with Sage 300 is preferred.
• Background in construction or electrical contracting industry.
