Registered Nurse- Perioperative

The Pre-Post Operative Surgery Registered Nurse provides care for patients before and after surgery/invasive procedures, while providing a therapeutic environment. The Pre-Post Registered Nurse prepares the patient who will undergo surgery/invasive procedures via skilled assessment, teaching and collaboration with the perioperative team for their return to the community uirements:
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program. Current and valid California Registered Nurse license. Current AHA CPR/AED for the healthcare professional required. Current AHA ACLS required. One-year Pre-op, PACU or Med Surg experience in an acute hospital nursing setting preferred. Solid experience with pre-op preparation for patients for surgery and/or GI procedures preferred. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage care in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills. Computerized-based documentation experience preferred.
