Overview
Hill International is seeking a Sr. Estimator in Pomona, California
Responsibilities- Develops and maintains detailed cost estimates for major and/or multi-year projects, including scope take-off, estimate labor, materials, contract, indirect, and allowances, and maintain (and reconcile) various versions of cost estimates.
- Facilitates review process to ensure cost estimates are accurate and structured in a manner that meets major and multi-year projects or program requirements (e.g., work breakdown structure, Continuous Property Records, FERC/CPUC jurisdictional splits, and cost elements/drivers).
- Performs complex and detailed research, updates, and data gathering/analysis in areas of cost estimating (e.g., unit pricing, market trends, economic feasibility study).
- Collaborates with and obtains data/information from various project stakeholders; ability to communicate effectively and develop and maintain strong working relationships with team; prepares project controls data request responses and work papers in supporting corporate/OU governance (e.g., Business Oversight Team and Capital Review Team), internal/external audits, General Rate Cases, and any pertinent regulatory filings.
- Provides training in areas of expertise to develop future project controls professionals.
- A combination of education, training, and experience, generally equivalent to those typically possessed by a 4-year college graduate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Mathematical background preferred.
- 7+ years estimating experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software, plus Project Controls and Cost Estimating software.
- Utility construction, CA regulated, regulatory, and EPC estimation experience preferred.
- InEight experience preferred.
- Must be local to Southern California.
- Hybrid work schedule with occasional site visits.
