Job title: Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Engineer
Location: Pomona, CA - Hybrid 2 days in office
Duration: 9+ months
Pay rate: 87.50/hr on W2
Education Requirement: C. bachelor's degree
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Perform structural and line design analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and PLS-Caisson serving as the go-to expert for modeling and analysis across transmission and distribution.
- Ensure quality and safety compliance by overseeing QA/QC processes and adhering to company and site-specific safety standards.
- Review and design pole foundations, providing expert guidance on both new installations and evaluations of existing infrastructure.
- Support construction activities by coordinating with field teams to resolve design-related issues, conducting field inspections, and assisting with emergency restoration efforts due to wildfires, storms, or other incidents.
- Maintain and update design specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to 's transmission engineering practice, mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
- Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in civil/structural engineering
- Technical experience in transmission and/or distribution line engineering design.
- Engineering experience with Electric Utility Distribution and Transmission Systems using California GO95, NESC and ASCE codes and guidelines.
