Classification Pay Scale In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location.
Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $70,304.00 Annually Maximum $70,304.00 Annually
The assistant director plays an integral role in all recruitment planning and assessment of admission activities for the assigned programs of the unit. Reporting to the associate director of admissions, the assistant director will directly supervise the team of admission counselors as well as represents Western University of Health Sciences to prospective students and organizations and works to increase inquiries and convert applications into enrolled students.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Strong written communication, verbal communication and interpersonal skills that enable the employee to interact effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students.
- Excellent computer skills enabling employee to utilize various web editing tools and set up documents in Word, Excel, Outlook, and any other software program required for this position. Knowledge of WebAdMIT and SLATE preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and successfully complete multiple duties while paying close attention to detail.
- Skilled in making decisions with sound judgment.
- Ability to work and concentrate in a busy, multitasked, multi-faceted environment.
- Must be a team player, willing to share and exchange ideas.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to take initiative.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills and ability.
- Minimum of three years of experience in university admissions and recruitment or a similar recruitment setting.
- Must have a willingness to travel as needed during peak recruiting seasons.
