The Sr. Accountant will perform a variety of complex accounting and reporting duties as directed by the Director of Finance. The Sr. Accountant will produce monthly and daily reports for management. They will also monitor activity in suspense accounts to ensure entries are posted to the correct general ledger accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Monitor assigned GL accounts
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations
- Post daily and monthly journal entries
- Manage the Fixed Asset subledger, including depreciation, additions, disposals, and transfers
- Prepare designated reports for internal users and outside regulatory agencies
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance or Controller
- Perform analysis and inquiries of financial data as requested from other departments
- Research and correct general ledger out of balances and non-post transactions
- Process archived records in accordance with the company's retention policy
- Assist in preparation for annual audits
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance preferred
- Have a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in the remaining Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP experience is a plus
