ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload inbound shipments safely and receive according to Amy’s Kitchen Receiving Procedures and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product and accurately record storage locations for purposes of inventory control.
- Pull and prepare product for shipping, transfer or usage by manufacturing (staging) ensuring that the exact item and quantity is pulled and shipped, transferred or staged.
- Efficiently, safely and with minimum damage, move products or materials from/into staging, storage or on to transportation.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory accuracy, control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts when required.
- Inspect PIT before usage, keep equipment, tools and company property neat and clean. Change and charge PIT batteries as needed.
- Sorting, wrapping, packing, repacking as needed. Sort and repair pallets when necessary.
- Clean containers, trailers and truck bays as requested.
- As assigned, to provide customer service to Amy’s Employees with respect to maintaining onsite vending equipment for Amy’s Kitchen products, providing customer service for Amy’s employee orders, and the prompt and accurate receipt and delivery of all express mail/freight deliveries.
- Other duties as assigned

Must be certified PIT operator.
Education- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least six (6) months related experience.
- Must be able to speak and read English or Spanish.
- Must have basic English verbal skills.
- Bilingual written/verbal skills English/Spanish are preferred
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide and understand percentages.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Valid motor vehicle license and certification as PIT driver.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Forklifts horns working at same time moving and unloading product on the dock.
