American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

• 13-week travel contract at a hospital-based Medical/Surgical unit
• 48-bed unit caring for a diverse patient population including sepsis, CIWA, COPD, AMS/confusion, post-op, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, pyelonephritis, cardiac conditions, diabetes, GI conditions, isolation, and SI with medical indications
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Floating required based on demonstrated competencies
• Epic EMR used; experience required

• Active Idaho RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and will not be approved during the first week of orientation
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Responsibilities include applying the nursing process across all patient age groups, thorough documentation per regulatory and hospital standards, and maintaining professional clinical practice
