PCU Registered Nurse (Travel) – Night Shift in Pocatello, d Telemetry/Stepdown RNs with Epic, ACLS, BLS sought for a 13-week contract. This role supports a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility, providing advanced care to patients with complex cardiac and medical needs in southeastern Idaho.

- Setting: 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry Unit (Telemetry RN / Stepdown RN)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15), block scheduling — Night Shift Travel Nurse
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-4
- Weekend Coverage: Required (6 weekend shifts per contract)
- Charting: Epic — experience with Epic preferred
- Orientation: 24 hours onsite
- Travel Requirement: Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1700-$1790
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact license accepted where applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry experience — telemetry nursing jobs preferred
- Required
Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR)
- Proven ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, participate with rapid response/code teams, and administer blood products
- Experience with central and peripheral line care, cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), and non-invasive airway management
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE best practices
- Flexible and able to float to other units as required
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry floor
- Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as heart failure, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal and respiratory failure, and post-cardiac procedures (TAVR, CABG, PCI)
- Participate in emergent procedures (e.g., cardioversion, central line placement) and support code/rapid response teams
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response to ensure coordinated patient care
- Utilize advanced respiratory equipment such as BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and high-flow oxygen
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR and adhere to charting standards
- Follow all safety, infection control, and stroke center protocols
