Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a Level II Trauma, comprehensive stroke center facility, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with night shift availability.
Responsibilities- 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit
- Comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with capability for complex PCI and open-heart surgery patient care
- Patient ratio of 1:3-4
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
- 13-week contract
- No travel pairs or groups accepted for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers: check with your recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
- Active compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
