Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with Idaho or compact RN license, Epic experience, and prior travel assignment experience for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Med/Surg unit with 48 rooms

• Cares for a diverse adult patient population including sepsis, trauma, post-op, respiratory and cardiac conditions, and more

• Typical patient ratio is 1:6

• Required to work 3x12 hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, including weekends and holidays

• Floating required based on competencies

• Epic EMR experience is required

• Care for a broad range of medical and surgical patients from infants through geriatrics

• Expectation to demonstrate strong judgment, patience, and maintain professionalism in a busy environment

• Required to document thoroughly and follow hospital and regulatory standards

• Orientation includes onsite module completion for RNs, averaging 4-6 hours

• No travel pairs or groups will be considered

• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved, and no time off is permitted during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active Idaho or compact RN license required at time of consideration

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• ACLS certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire

• Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg RN experience required

• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
