Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring Epic experience and at least 1 year of recent nursing experience.

• Work in a 10-bed orthopedic/medical surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes individuals with musculoskeletal conditions and those recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries
• Patient ratio is typically 1:5
• Schedule is night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• Uses Epic for charting;
  Epic experience is required
• Provide specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients, including perioperative care, injury management, and patient education
• No travel pairs or groups will be considered for this assignment
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved
• No requested time off (RTO) is permitted during the first week of orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active  compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent orthopedic or Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Locals within 50 miles are not eligible; candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
