Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) telemetry position on night shift requiring at least one year of experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• Position is on a 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry floor
• Shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week (18:45-07:15)
• Patient ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4
• Patient population includes complex cases such as stroke, chest pain, post-PCI, and open-heart surgery patients
• Work in a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility
• Epic EMR experience is required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto-approved
• No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Must provide excellent nursing care to patients with high acuity needs including post-cardiac intervention
• Standard clinical dress code applies

• Active  compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current valid state RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
