The job requires working knowledge of construction and landscape techniques and general cleaning and janitorial methods. The job requires the ability to utilize hand and power tools in a safe manner. The job requires the ability to maintain a collaborative and cooperative working relationship with elected and appointed officials, other City employees, other organizations, and the general public. Individuals must be capable of operating vehicles safely and have an acceptable driving record.
The work environment will include inside conditions, outdoor weather conditions, in wet and humid conditions, with areas of dust, odors, mist, gases or other airborne matter. Employees work in/at places where they are exposed to mechanical hazards. Employees will also drive a vehicle as part of this position. This position works days, evenings, and weekends as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides daily pool/hot tub maintenance including: balancing water chemistry, pool/hot tub cleanliness, and ensuring State Health Department Regulations are met.
* Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification is required.
* Position also provides general building, equipment & grounds maintenance, and basic custodial duties, as needed and directed.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
* Applicant must be 16 years of age or older;
* High school diploma or GED preferred;
* Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification is required.
* Two (2) to five (5) years of experience may be required;
* Specialized certifications, construction and/or supervisory experience may be required;
* Idaho Driver's license is required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
