  • Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region s Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct a program of treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system in a safe and therapeutically effective manner.
  • Administer and document medication in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Correctly administer Cardiopulmonary Care Services in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
  • Precept employees, new hires, and students.
  • Maintain awareness of environmental conditions and initiate corrective intervention as indicated.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the medical staff.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Completion of a respiratory care program approved by the American Medical Association.
  • Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Idaho Licensed Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Obtain ACLS and NRP within six months of hire and maintain them as current.

Preferred

Job Requirements:

  • PALS certification.
