Our Pocatello, Idaho office is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Transportation Intern position to support our Roads and Highways group while working on transportation related projects.
The successful candidate will work on multidiscipline projects performing independent engineering calculations and design, using specialized technical skills, experience and engineering judgment to transform concept designs into construction drawings. The work may include developing plans for freeway, highway and local roadways including roadway plans and profiles, signing and pavement markings, traffic signals, storm water facilities, erosion control, and construction staging. This work will also entail performing technical writing, quantity calculations, developing construction documents, and all supporting documentation.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Coordinate with supervisor, project managers, and project team staff
- Support design and preparation of plans in Civil3D and Open Roads Designer (ORD) software
- Analyze maps, reports, drawings and as-builts for design projects
- Support preparation of reports and specifications and quantity calculations for projects
- Applicants must be in the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 2+ years of completed course work
- Ability to communicate and work in a team‑oriented environment
- Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), ORD and Civil3D skills
