Co-Op intern to join the Continuous Improvement Team this summer and fall.

The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience while supporting process improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The intern will be assigned to specific production process and will deliver data-driven process improvement recommendations through direct observation, analysis, and collaboration with operations teams.

This structured 6-month program provides practical exposure to manufacturing operations, continuous improvement methodologies, and cross-functional teamwork. High-performing co-op interns may be considered for full-time employment opportunities upon successful completion of the program.

• Observe assigned manufacturing process(es) to understand workflows, constraints, and performance drivers.
• Collect and analyze operational data related to efficiency, quality, downtime, or waste.
• Identify improvement opportunities and support root cause analysis activities.
• Partner with operators, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to understand current practices.
• Develop and present process improvement recommendations supported by data.
• Assist with implementation or validation of approved improvements where applicable.
• Document process maps, standard work, or project findings.

• Attendinga four-year college or university toattaina degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;or already awardedbachelor’sdegree from a four-year college or university.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; data analysis skills preferred.
• Interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional plant teams.
• Ability to observe processes and translate them into step-by-step instructions.
• Continuous improvement or problem-solving mindset.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
• Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to plant management and other stakeholders.

• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.

• Ability to define problems, collect data,establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
