About The Role
We are the UK’s largest end‑to‑end drainage solution provider, and we need an experienced Sales Professional to serve as Area Development Manager for one of our well‑established UK drainage depots. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager and focuses on developing new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
Location: Devon / Cornwall
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: Competitive base plus uncapped earning potential (OTE £75,000).
- Target and source new business across the region.
- Work with national accounts to grow and develop business.
- Attend site visits to evaluate work requested.
- Provide quick quotes in accordance with costings.
- Proactively follow up on quotations to secure business.
- Upsell to existing clients, maintain relationships and understand future needs.
- Manage your own diary and administration.
- Collaborate closely with depot manager to achieve sales targets and forecasting.
- Travel to various locations and regional training events & meetings.
- Attend sales events and networking opportunities.
- Promote services through advertising campaigns, Linked In, and other channels.
- Business‑to‑business sales experience (essential).
- Service industry sales experience, ideally within drainage, waste management, construction, or multi‑utility sectors.
- Excellent work ethic, able to go above and beyond to deliver the best service.
- Desire to succeed in a niche but highly rewarding market.
- Full induction programme and ongoing training/development with promotion opportunities.
