Join our team as an HGV Technician at Calor Gas Ltd in Plymouth.
Role OverviewThe HGV Technician forms the backbone of our fleet operations, ensuring safety, reliability and readiness across the UK.
Shift Pattern- Day Shift: Monday‑Friday 05:00‑14:00
- Middle Shift: Monday‑Friday 07:00‑16:00
- Back Shift: Monday‑Friday 11:00‑20:00 (incl. Saturday 06:00‑10:00)
- Saturday Mornings Overtime: 06:00‑12:00
- On‑call: 1 in 3 weeks (additional pay)
- Basic salary
• OTE circa £57,108 - £5,000 Sign‑On Bonus (payout after 3‑month settling period)
- Annual bonus of £2,000
- Expected overtime earnings £7,000 (1.5× hourly rate)
- Industry‑leading training: from LPG to IRTEC and HGV licence support

- Qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential)
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, trailers, plant, and workshop equipment
- Strong diagnostic skills with a safety‑first mindset
- Team‑player with good communication & organisation skills
- HGV C licence and ADR desirable (trainable)
