Job SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal or law graduate to join our growing Property Litigation team in our Plymouth office on a full time and permanent basis. In this role you will provide essential support to the fee earners in the team, ensuring all of our clients receive outstanding service by understanding their needs and delivering this cost‑effectively while handling a range of property litigation matters.
You will be fully involved in all aspects of litigation, including the preparation of court papers, the generation of correspondence as matters progress, and speaking to clients and third parties by telephone. You can expect to provide complete management of files, taking instructions from senior members of the team and clients, and ensuring procedures are effectively handled.
As an experienced paralegal working in a litigious area of law, or as a law graduate with office‑based experience, you will be self‑motivated, independent and eager to learn. With a clear dedication to a career in law, you will be known for being self‑motivated, a good communicator and a quick learner. A strong team player, we expect you to work proactively with colleagues to provide the support they need to deliver great results for our clients.
You will readily understand and relate to clients’ needs and cope with pressures associated with handling multiple caseloads. We require excellent IT skills, meticulousness and thoroughness to deliver high‑quality work. Our relationships with clients are paramount; you must demonstrate your ability to build strong, lasting relationships and show genuine commitment to their business needs. Being self‑motivated and ambitious, you will be keen to learn more about the sector.
In return, we support your professional development through regular training and help you grow your professional networks both internally and externally. This provides an excellent foundation to pursue qualification as a lawyer with the firm, a path many of our paralegals have taken.
