2nd Line IT Support Engineer –
Location:
Plymouth (Onsite). Salary: £32,500 - £35,000.
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week).
Employment Type:
Full Time.
This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a growing MSP and play a key role in supporting client environments.
You will provide technical support across a variety of client infrastructures, resolving escalated issues from 1st line support, managing incidents and service requests, and assisting with infrastructure improvements and projects. The role will involve both remote support and occasional on-site visits to client locations, using company pool vehicles where required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 2nd line technical support across client environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated service desk tickets
- Support and maintain Microsoft 365 environments
- Administer and support Azure cloud services
- Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure
- Deploy and support Windows 11 devices
- Support Microsoft Intune / endpoint management
- Assist with network troubleshooting and configuration
- Participate in project work including migrations, deployments and upgrades
- Deliver excellent customer service and communication with clients
- Maintain accurate documentation and ticket updates
Candidates should have experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or multi-client IT support environment.
Required experience:
- Microsoft Office 365 administration
- Microsoft Azure fundamentals
- Windows Server support and management
- Microsoft Intune / endpoint management
- Windows 11 desktop support
- Networking fundamentals (switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience using IT service desk / ticketing systems
