1st Line Support Engineer
Location: On-site / Hybrid (UK-Wide)
Salary: £22,000 £ 28,000 (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time / Permanent
WLP Recruitment is seeking a motivated and customer-focused 1st Line Support Engineer to join a growing IT support team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a career in IT with hands‑on support, training, and progression.
Role Overview:You’ll be the first point of contact for IT queries, providing remote and on‑site technical support for desktops, laptops, software, and networking issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Logging and responding to tickets via helpdesk systems
- Troubleshooting Windows, Office 365, printers, and basic network issues
- Escalating unresolved problems to 2nd/3rd line teams
- Installing and configuring hardware/software
- Providing exceptional customer service to users
- 6‑12 months of IT support experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Good understanding of Windows OS, Office 365 & Active Directory
- Keen to learn and grow in a technical support role
- Driving licence (advantageous for on‑site roles)
