We’re exclusively partnered with a leading technology organisation in Devon that’s continuing to scale. They’re now looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and mature their engineering function.

This is a hands‑off leadership role
, with a strong focus on delivery excellence, quality, and the day‑to‑day management of multi‑disciplinary software teams.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead engineering delivery across frontend, backend, QA, and offshore teams
• Ensure consistent, high‑quality releases through strong engineering standards and SDLC governance
• Collaborate closely with Product and Technology leaders on planning, prioritisation, and delivery
• Own release management and drive continuous improvement in software quality
• Support the safe and effective adoption of AI tools to enhance development efficiency
• Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing culture
• QA (Manual & Automation)
