Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP/ACP)

Location: Large modern GP training practice Plymouth

Duration: 312 months (rolling booking start ASAP or anytime in January/February 2026)

Hours: Completely flexible full-time or part-time

• Full-time 810 sessions per week
• Part-time minimum 3 sessions per week
• Happy to accommodate school hours fixed days or ad-hoc sessions Clinical System: EMIS Web Accu Rx Ardens templates Rate: 48 55 per hour (higher rate for regular/full-time commitment) PAYE or Umbrella paid weekly Reference: ANP-PLYMOUTH-FLEX-1225

About the Practice

• 19000 patients CQC Good with Outstanding for caring
• 8 GP Partners 5 Salaried GPs 4 existing ANPs clinical pharmacists physios & paramedics
• Purpose-built premises with free on-site parking
• High QOF very supportive and sociable team

Role & Clinical Scope

• Same-day urgent on-the-day appointments (mostly face-to-face some telephone)
• Routine bookable slots
• Full minor illness & minor injury (all ages including babies)
• Chronic disease reviews (asthma COPD diabetes CHD hypertension)
• Womens health contraception smears depo injections (desirable)
• Home visits (shared rota usually only 1-3 per week)
• Full independent prescribing & full access to all local pathways (direct X-ray ultrasound 2WW referrals acute visiting service etc.)

Essential Requirements

• MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent)
• Active Independent Prescriber (V300)
• Current NMC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 2 years recent primary care ANP experience
• Confident seeing undifferentiated patients of all ages
• Recent EMIS Web experience
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or dated within last 12 months)

Desirable

• Teaching/supervising experience (practice trains GP registrars & medical students)
• Minor surgery coils/implants
