Marlin Environmental Services is growing — and we’re looking for a hands‑on, forward‑thinking engineer who’s ready to lead, innovate and make an impact across the UK and overseas.

If you thrive on variety, enjoy solving complex mechanical challenges, and want a role where no two days look the same, this could be your next move.

The Role

As a key member of our operations team, you’ll take charge of servicing, repairing, installing and maintaining a wide range of equipment, vehicles, building facilities and marine systems. You’ll lead projects, and ensure every job meets our industry‑leading quality standards.

This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in precision, and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Overhauling, servicing and repairing mechanical, vehicle and marine/ship systems
  • Leading and training staff, ensuring safe and efficient working practices
  • Liaise with operations managers to help plan and organise projects
  • Completing surveys, reports and customer sign‑offs with accuracy and professionalism
  • Managing waste and by‑product disposal in line with environmental legislation
  • Using ultrasonic cleaning, wet blasting and HP jet washing equipment
  • Operating workshop machinery and tools
  • Working in a workshop environment, carrying out the refurbishment and overhaul of engineering equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S, COSHH, ISO standards and company procedures
  • Travelling to customer sites across the UK and overseas
  • Promoting Marlin’s high standards at every interaction
What You Bring
  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge, ideally with marine/ship systems experience
  • Awareness of ISO
    9001, ISO
    14001 and ISO
    45001
  • Confidence liaising with customers and understanding their technical needs
  • Engineering/fitting qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience with marine systems
  • Environmental and spill response training (or willingness to undertake it)
