Learning Support Assistant – Plymouth

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming SEND school in the Plymouth area, supporting students with autism and speech and language difficulties.

Working closely with class teachers, therapists and support staff, you will help pupils access their learning, build confidence and develop communication skills in a structured and nurturing environment.

You will be supporting students with autism and speech and language difficulties on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities may include assisting with tailored classroom activities, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, inclusive learning environment.

You do not need extensive formal experience; however, previous experience supporting individuals with autism (either children or adults) would be highly valued.

Pay: £13.84 – £14.61 per hour

Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm
