Teaching Personnel are seeking a confident and experienced SEN Outreach Teaching Assistant to support children who are currently not accessing mainstream education. This role involves working with pupils in a variety of settings, including home, community, and specialist provision, helping them re-engage with learning and develop confidence in education.
This is a highly rewarding role suited to a resilient and proactive educator who can build strong relationships and adapt learning to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
Support children who may have SEMH, ASD, or complex needs
Help pupils re-engage with education through personalised learning approaches
Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a calm, structured environment
Work closely with schools, parents, and professionals to support student progress
Adapt learning activities to meet individual EHCP targets and needs
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
Strong behaviour management and the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
Experience supporting students who may be out of mainstream education
Full UK driving licence (clean)
Own vehicle with business insurance – essential
Reliable, resilient, and able to work independently
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
