Teaching Assistant

What skills and experience we're looking for

Ham Drive Nursery School and Day Care is looking to appoint a qualified level 3 early years educator to the post of Teaching Assistant to work in our nursery school room, known as 'The Fledglings'.

Experience of working with early years children and leading small group work is essential, as is a minimum of an early years level 3 qualification.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, creative and nurturing qualified early years level 3 educator with the ability to deliver engaging adult led small group work activities. They will work well as part of a team and be clear about how to support and develop children’s wellbeing and progress under the guidance of the nursery school teachers. They will have the ability to form positive relationships with young children quickly and be excited at the prospect of joining a thriving local authority maintained nursery school.

Safeguarding is a very important aspect of Ham Drive Nursery School & Day Care. All applicants will be expected to have a full DBS check and disclose any issues which may be relevant to them working in a nursery.
