The Quantity Surveyor is a vital member of the Whitebox team, reporting to the Whitebox Commercial Lead and Whitebox Construction Director. You will take full ownership of the commercial side of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include preparing accurate cost plans, managing procurement, monitoring project budgets, overseeing contracts, undertaking trade partner valuations and manging changes. You will work closely with site teams, designers, consultants, and trade partners to identify risks, control costs, and maximise value for clients.

In addition to managing costs, you will play a proactive role in problem-solving, advising on commercial decisions, and contributing to the planning and delivery of projects. Your work will directly support Whitebox’s commitment to sustainable construction, helping embed environmentally responsible solutions into every project.

You enjoy working collaboratively with site teams, designers, consultants, and trade partners to identify risks, control costs, and deliver maximum value for clients. You will initially be based in Plymouth, working on the Foulston Park project. This will give you the opportunity to be fully immersed in the site, working closely with the project team, trade partners, and consultants to manage costs, monitor progress, and ensure the project is delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
