Small Works Manager – Plymouth

Salary: Up to £42,000 + Company car / Car allowance

VIVO provides facilities management and accommodation maintenance for the UK military and its partners, embodying experience and innovation.

• Lead day‑to‑day delivery of low‑value, high‑turnover works, managing supplier and contractor teams.
• Own procurement activities – develop briefs, specifications, tender documents and ensure compliance with VIVO orders, procurement guidelines, UK/EU legislation.
• Monitor and manage monthly spend across projects, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets, timescales and quality criteria.
• Maintain health‑&‑safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to CDM, Control of Asbestos Regulations and other relevant legislation.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with Defence families, Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), supply chain partners and internal teams.
• Provide clear reporting and maintain comprehensive records meeting internal and external requirements.
• Oversee damp and mould programmes, minor works such as kitchens and bathrooms, and full internal refurbishments across Chivenor, Illchester & Yeovil.

• Proven experience in project and contract management, ideally within the housing or construction sector.
• Solid technical foundation – recognised construction, contract or property qualification; SMSTS highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to pass SC Clearance.
