Position: Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF) Support Administrator

Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF) Support Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF) Support Administrator to join the Business Intelligence team at Beacon Medical Group. This is a permanent part‑time role of 16.5 hours per week with the following working pattern:
Mon: 08:30 – 17:15
Thu: 08:30 – 17:15

Key Responsibilities
  • Run and manage your own QOF domain, ensuring all targets are met and in line with NHS guidance.
  • Coordinate all aspects of QOF and similar schemes, keeping up to date with changes and business rules.
  • Support patient care by ensuring checks are carried out promptly and patient needs are recorded accurately.
  • Assist the Business Intelligence team with recall processes, audits, coding updates and reporting.
  • Ensure QOF administration is carried out within the practice’s guidelines and policies.
  • Prioritise your workload effectively against shifting deadlines, and maintain clear documentation.
  • Contribute to the implementation of services, including confidentiality, equality, health & safety, and governance.

Pay Rate: £12.40 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent
Place of Work: Plympton Health Centre (occasionally required to visit other sites)
Accountable To: Operations Support Manager

Qualifications
  • Good general standard of education
  • NVQ Administration Level 3 or equivalent (or relevant experience)
Required Experience
  • High‑volume office environment, working under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Data entry/coding experience in a GP practice
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and its application in practice
  • Understanding of databases, coding and data extraction for reporting
  • Previous experience of clinical coding (minimum 2 years)
  • Knowledge of QOF and Enhanced Services and how accurate coding supports delivery
  • Ability to produce reports for quality audits
Key Skills
  • Computer literacy:
    Microsoft Word, Excel and Systm One (read coding, electronic discharges, OOH reporting)
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, with strong prioritisation skills
  • Accurate data entry and keyboarding skills
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Team‑player with flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus
  • Ability to work independently and under minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of health & safety and confidentiality procedures
