Overview
CNC Machinist - Cutting Tool Sales. We are seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable Tooling Sales Representative to join our team to sell cutting tools, tool holders and accessories. Your technical expertise and hands-on experience as a machinist will allow you to provide exceptional service, build strong relationships, and create long-term, repeat customers. Cutting tools are one of the most critical components in the manufacturing process.
Productivity offers a large inventory of tools from industry-leading manufacturers such as Kennametal, Mitsubishi, Guhring, Harvey Tools, Rego-Fix, Red Line Tools, and many others.
- Engage with potential and existing manufacturing customers to understand their processes, needs, and goals. Provide solutions to increase tool performance, extend tool life, and improve processes
- Prospecting - Increase business and account base by identifying and establishing new customers. Lead generation & follow-up
- Sales - Promote and sell within assigned accounts. Call on customers, determine requirements and expectations, provide product information/education, prepare and conduct sales presentations, counter objections, follow up, and address any questions/requests
- Close sales. Meet revenue & margin goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business
- Work closely with our internal team to ensure seamless delivery and after-sales support
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and competitors products
- Hands-on manufacturing knowledge, specifically in the operation of CNC machine tools, programming, and materials knowledge
- Strong understanding of tooling selection, application, and machining processes
- Sales experience, particularly in a technical or manufacturing-related field, is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and provide outstanding customer service
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and strong organizational skills
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events
- Competitive base salary, $75,000 - $80,000/year - transitioning to commission
