The OpportunityThis position works out of our Plymouth, MN location in the Electrophysiology (EP) division.
Main Purpose of RoleAs an Operator II, you’ll work under direct supervision, performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes.
What You’ll Work On- Performs Casting/Coating functions
- Examines medical devices and related assemblies after molding operations to locate bubbles, nicks and/or excess epoxy
- Utilizes small drills, reamers, taps, and knives to access bubbles and remove excess epoxy
- Patches and repairs bubbles or voids using syringes and small tools; bakes parts to cure epoxy patches
- Performs Mechanical Assembly functions
- Kits, assembles, bonds, coats, and processes medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools
- Locates and corrects problems by examining devices and components and visually inspecting parts/assemblies
- Repairs and corrects devices and related components using microscopes and applicable tools
- Performs Packaging Functions
- Kits, assembles, and packages devices and related accessories using applicable tools
- Locates and corrects problems using a microscope and applicable tools
- Reviews all device documentation for completeness and accuracy
- May set-up/utilize special test equipment
Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM with potential overtime
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Typically, two plus years of relevant training/experience in medical device assembly
- The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required
- Must have the ability to repeatedly lift up to approximately 25 pounds
- The ability to work overtime is required
- Previous microscope experience is highly desired
- AA degree in Electrical/Mechanical Technology, or comparable specialized training in the manufacture of implantable medical devices or equivalent
- Five years or more of medical device or related assembly experience
