What You’ll Do

As the lead assembler, you will serve as the primary assembly expert within the Advanced Manufacturing Production Team (AMT). Working under general direction, you will partner closely with the Supervisor to support and guide daily operations, ensuring consistent workflow and production efficiency.

  • Monitor daily production plans and adjust staffing to meet targets.
  • Foster strong team communication and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Serve as a liaison between development, manufacturing, quality, and production teams.
  • Lead problem‑solving discussions and report downtime or non‑conforming materials.
  • Support the Supervisor in coordinating and delivering operator training, including onboarding and cross‑training.
  • Ensure team members follow all work instructions, visual aids, and standard procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on assemblies, components, and finished goods.
  • Ensure proper use of AMT processes, including job confirmation, scrap/rework, and tool documentation.
  • Share knowledge, demonstrate initiative, and provide support to the Production Supervisor as needed.
  • Collaborate with and assist other Lead Assemblers.
  • Update production metrics, support KPI tracking, and help communicate priorities.
  • Recommend improvements to SOPs, work instructions, and other documented procedures.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Stockroom, Technicians, and Engineers to ensure material availability.
  • Promote safe work practices, reinforce preferred methods, and support 5S and waste‑reduction efforts.
  • Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For Required
  • High School Diploma
  • 2-3 years of Manufacturing/Production experience
  • Process Improvement experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Points
  • Knowledge of soldering is a plus
  • Advanced Manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Basic computer schools (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Working Conditions/Physical Demands

The job consists of both standing and sitting at a workstation and wearing safety glasses, covered shoes, and steel toe shoes in designated areas. The job does include some light lifting and carrying usually no more than 15-20 pounds. Requires ability to distinguish colors.
